2024 Sexual Assault Awareness Month Community Event: Blossoming Beyond
The 2024 event theme was Blossoming Beyond, where we highlighted stories of growth and healing to celebrate the resilience of survivors. This family-friendly public event will include engaging activities, tables with community partners, entertainment, food, prizes, and more. Highlights of the Day:
Keynote Speaker: Join us at 11:30 am for a powerful presentation by Tracy Matheson, founder of Project Beloved as she shares her journey and dedication to supporting survivors.
City Proclamations: Representatives from cities around the area will follow presenting proclamations designating April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

The theme for SAAM 2023 was “Ask First: Consent.” This theme pushes the conversation forward by championing the message that asking for consent is a healthy, normal, and necessary part of everyday interactions.
Asking for consent is a concrete and powerful way to ensure that everyone feels safe and respected.
